The first trailer for Bill & Ted Face the Music has arrived. Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter reprise their roles as the titular characters in the third film in the franchise, which is due to release in theaters on August 21 of this year.

In the new movie, Winter's William "Bill" S. Preston Esq. and Reeves' Theodore "Ted" Logan are now middle aged men embarking on a new adventure. This time around, the best friends must come up with a song that will save the entire universe in just 78 minutes. Bill and Ted will look to their daughters — played by Samara Weaving and Brigette Lundy-Paine — for help, in addition to music legends and various historical figures.

Kid Cudi, Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan, Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr., and Amy Stoch also feature in Bill & Ted Face the Music, which is directed by Dean Parisot from a screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon (Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey).
