Designer: Chanel

Location: Paris

Season: FW19

Key Pieces: The monogrammed Chanel purse gets a shearling trim in slide #13.

Editor’s Notes: Karl Lagerfeld's swan song for Chanel showed on a snow-filled runway at Paris Fashion Week today. In keeping with the designer's penchant for spectacular fashion shows, the Le Grand Palais was transformed into a alpine German mountain town and guests were welcomed with an illustration of Lagerfeld and Coco Chanel with the inscription "the beat goes on," along with a one-minute silence before the show began.

The clothes were a fitting tribute to Lagerfeld's personal style and his 30-year legacy at Chanel with luxurious houndstooth prints and elegant flowing capes. Some of Lagerfeld's favorite models walked the show including Cara Delevingne, Kaia Gerber, and actress Penelope Cruz who walked in a bridal look holding a single white rose.
