An espadrille adidas soccer shoe? Sounds like CLOT was here.

And it was.

Edison Chen's brand has transformed the adidas Mundial into its next espadrille masterpiece. It flaunts the familiar woven sole units seen on the traditional summer shoes. Several other CLOT collaborations, too.

That's right. Espadrille-inspired sneakers are a CLOT x adidas signature at this point. The brands have reworked a few models to feature the summery look, including the mighty Samba, Stam Smith, and the Gazelle.

CLOT even cooked up an all-new model called the QI FLOW, which brought the espadrille-level construction to a kung-fu-inspired slipper.

Basically, if there's one thing you can almost always count on from CLOT, it's an espadrille sneaker (a dressy version of an adidas classic, too).

Beyond the soles, the collaborative Mundial features additional woven touches layered on top its creamy black leather upper. The uppers also feature these stitched patterns (essentially CLOT's logo) and gilded details, which only adds to the beauty of the already-ornate sneaker.

And it's still a soccer shoe at heart, folded tongue and all.

It's unknown when the CLOT x adidas Mundial will release. But official images are here. Plus, Chen himself just recently previewed the model on Instagram, which could mean the drop date is near.

It's also worth mentioning that the World Cup is just a couple of months away. Maybe CLOT and adidas are saving their espadrille treat for the festivities.
