Editor's Notes: CLOT is teaming up with sacai to release a pack of collaborative Nike LDWaffles. News of the collab was broken by leak accounts earlier in the year. The release comprises two colorways, an orange pair inspired by the original CLOT x Nike Air Max 1 “Kiss of Death” and a gray pair that is inspired by the 2013 follow-up Air Max 1.
The orange pair was released in mid-September, selling out upon release, however, not reaching the resale heights that other sacai x Nike LDWaffle collaborations have in the past. This may have been due to the relatively out-there colorway. Thanks to CLOT, we now have official release information for gray colorway, which is expected to resonate better with sneakerheads due to its more subtle and wearable aesthetic.
CLOT's sacai LDWaffle features the familiar stacked Swoosh and double tongue, in addition to the extended sole. CLOT x sacai x Nike branding appears on the heel to signal the triple threat collaboration.
In terms of materials, the sneaker boasts a translucent TPE upper with suede overlays. A stacked midsole incorporates foam cushioning below. Check out both colorways and stay tuned for further release details for the gray pair.
