What We’re Saying: DC Shoes had everyone practicing their kickflips in mom and dad's driveway in the late 1990s and 2000s. Harkening back to the early days of the action sports company, the brand is bringing back one of the more influential silhouettes it released in the '90s, the Lukoda.

The Lukoda debuted in the spring of 1999, and now here we are more than two decades later, and the foundational Black/Charcoal colorway has returned. As with many DC Shoes models, the Lukoda is characterized by the rugged construction and technical materials that make it an ideal skate shoe. The upper is crafted from high abrasion action nubuck and heavy suede to deliver a tough and resistant core, while mesh panels are implemented to aid in breathability. A two-tone rubber DC logo is applied to the nubuck side panel to brand the pair, as two-tone TR rubber lace loops then hold the cord laces in a secure manner.

Extending from the toe is a flexible V1 Buck 5000 toe cap designed to withstand trick after trick. Internal elastic straps are utilized to hold the foam-padded tongue in place and thus increase foot stability while skating. Below, sits a sticky gum rubber sole with a shock-absorbing heel cushion to alleviate landing impact.

Get back to your '00s skater boy days by copping the Lukoda OG through DC Shoes and select retailers today.
