What We Know So Far About Drake's New Album

Drake hasn't released a solo album since Scorpion arrived in June 2018. Fans of Champagne Papi can look forward to a new album on the way, however, as the hip-hop superstar recently revealed that he is attempting to finish a project.

Drake first mentioned his upcoming album while being interviewed by the commentary crew at the Toronto Raptors vs. Phoenix Suns game on Friday, February 21. “I’m out here, I’m working hard, you know. I’m tucked away trying to finish an album,” he said.

He went on to disclose that the new album will be shorter than his most recent, Scorpion, which featured 25 songs across two sides. Drake also referenced Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death as an inspiration.

“With the last album, I went high volume. I did two sides, 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs," Drizzy stated. "This album, I’ll probably make it a more realistic offering, something more concise.”

In addition to a solo album, Drake is also reportedly working on What a Time to Be Alive 2 with Future.
