In a rare interview with i-D Magazine, the elusive FKA twigs has revealed that her new album is dropping this fall. Called Magdalene, like her 2019 tour, the release will be co-produced by Nicolas Jaar and include a Future feature.

“The record is about every lover that I’ve ever had, and every lover that I’m going to have,” she said in the interview. "Just when you think it’s really fragile and about to fall apart, there’s an absolute defiance and strength in a way that my work’s never had before.” Inspired by the story of Mary Magdalene, twigs explains that Magdalene is all about this female duality.

On her mind-blowing ‘Magdalene’ tour twigs already teased some music from the upcoming project. Now the singer reveals that one song titled "Holy Terain" was blessed with a guest verse from Future, saying "His verse is beautiful. I love sad Future. I love when he gets emo, when he expresses himself. It’s just so beautiful when he opens up.”
