If Game of Thrones fans weren't hyped enough for season eight's third episode, set to air this Sunday, HBO has just dropped a series of sneak peek pictures that depict a little of what's to come.

Of course, the shots don't spoil anything. What they do, however, is deliver a few teasers about how characters react to the coming onslaught of the White Walkers, who will lay siege on Winterfell in an 80-minute episode that promises the most epic battle in Game of Thrones history.

As such, the images are filled with fearful faces. Jon Snow is visibly terrified in one standalone image, as is Sansa Stark as she exchanges a glance with her sister Arya. Lord Varys and Tyrion Lannister don't look too pleased either, as they hide from battle down in the crypt.

The selection also shows the newly knighted Brienne of Tarth leading an army into a battle that, according to reports, took 750 people and 11 weeks of "grueling" freezing night shoots to film.

And if the shots aren't enough, check out HBO's video teaser of the episode below.
