You don’t need any more convincing that we’re transitioning into a post-sneaker world right now. We’ve explored the reasons why in countless pieces before, singing the praises of loafers and leather lace-ups in place of the latest extortionate, raffled drop. That’s not to say we don’t have any time for sneakers anymore — we still love them, we simply recognize that it’s always healthy to diversify. Our latest bid to diversify our rotation comes courtesy of G.H. Bass x Browns.

If you’re looking to supplement your sneakers with something a touch more refined, G.H. Bass is a certified winner. Founded in 1876, it’s been manufacturing high-quality leather loafers and shoes for almost 150 years and it occupies an attractive pricing niche, too. With classic styles starting at just over $100, there are few better places to begin your loafer obsession.

British luxury retailer Browns recently tapped G.H. Bass for a collaboration, putting a contemporary spin on some of the shoemaker’s most loved silhouettes. G.H. Bass x Browns encompasses the Jetty Lug Boat Shoes and Super Lug Penny Loafers, bringing them to life with three exclusive colorways. Orange, green, and blue leather uppers combine with rugged black sole units as well as a gradient hue to the loafers for a standout finish.
