As part of our summer drop, we teamed up with cult outdoors brand Gramicci for a gorp-inspired collaboration designed to upgrade your outdoor gear. Founded in 1982, climbing brand Gramicci was both staple of the '90s surf and skate scenes, as well as being worn by actual climbers and hikers — with the seemingly disparate groups drawn to the brand for the same reason, its functionality.

Fast forward to today and the brand is one of the unsung heroes of the ongoing gorpcore movement, reaching particular prominence in Japan. Think of it like the Japanese-exclusive, The North Face Purple Label, but available to everyone.

We've teamed up with them on three outdoor essentials — a picnic blanket, cap, and nylon shorts. Explore the pieces below.

Gramicci for Highsnobiety Blanket

This packable blanket is more than just a picnic blanket. Made from Nylon and 100 percent packable, this is your hiking setups new best friend. Put it down to gaze at the stars, wrap yourself in it when it gets cold, and yes, lay it down for an alfresco lunch. Bonus points for the checkboard design, the print of the summer and beyond.

Gramicci for Highsnobiety Shorts

Gramicci has become famous for its shorts, which feature a unique crotch gusset to allow for greater leg movement — aka exactly what you need when hiking, skating, or rock climbing. Our collab arrives in a dark brown or rust colorway and comes equipped with utilitarian pockets and Gramicci's signature extra-long nylon belt.

Gramicci for Highsnobiety Cap

A cap is always a good idea, whether you're actually engaging in outdoor activities, or you just want to look like you are. Arriving in classic black and rust colorways, this sturdy cap is about to become your new go-to. With mesh sides to keep you cool when the temperature begins to rise and waterproof nylon outer for unexpected showers, Gramicci has you covered for whatever climate crisis-induced weather you're experiencing. And for those who can never quite get a cap to fit them, this one comes equipped with a buckle at the rear that lets you dial for the perfect fit.
