Editor's Notes: The apex of high-performance is getting an upgrade – because fast isn't fast enough.

Los Angeles-based French running brand HOKA One One has remained firmly at the forefront of running and performance wear since it burst into the mainstream – thanks to its tactful collaborations, on-trend styling, and constantly evolving technology.

Testament to these elements is the latest development within the ever-popular, first-to-the-mark Bondi model. The Bondi has been central to the brand's popularity, with silhouettes such as the Bondi 6 Low equipt for long-distance running and an on-trend chunky build.

The shoe's long-distance origins remain a staple of its design and are the basis of its latest upgrade. With the introduction of the Bondi X, HOKA elevates the silhouette's cushioning with the addition of a carbon plate for a smoother step from heel to toe. Coupled with the lightest foam ever developed by HOKA, the Bondi X is taking the idea of speed and turning it up a notch.

As you'd expect from any Bondi model, the upper consists of a breathable mesh, with maximized comfort cushioning throughout. The first appearance of the HOKA One One Bondi X arrives in a white-to-yellow gradient, with contrasts of blue and orange across the sole and midsection.
