As far as hiking sneakers go, they don't get much better than HOKA ONE ONE's peerless TOR Ultra line. The covetable Hi boots and Low shoes are the best-looking chunky trek footwear on the market, which is precisely why every colorway and every model sold out with the quickness.

Luckily, as revealed to Highsnobiety, HOKA ONE ONE is reviving the TOR Ultra Hi and Low once again, bringing back the versatile shoes for late 2022.

They're back in black and beige, epitomizing the silhouettes' all-purpose inclinations with colorways that can't be beat. All-beige? Perfection. And HOKA makes the only shoes that I like in all-black, escaping the dreaded Shoes For Crews appearance by way of their beefy profile.

For Fall/Winter 2022, HOKA ONE ONE is reviving the TOR Ultra Hi and Low shoes in the same makeups as their original editions, which debuted back in 2018 as an Engineered Garments collab.

Since then, a couple new iterations emerged as a Japanese exclusives and general releases but the new colorways never hit quite as hard as the initial designs.

There's hardly any change, aside from the eVent lining being swapped out for GORE-TEX, offering superior waterproofing for true all-season utility.

Like most other HOKA shoes, these things are built to last through all types of climate and terrain.

Over the past few years, a few sneaker upstarts have come for HOKA's all-conditions crown. Salomon, for instance, has truly blown up since 2018 and Merrell has become the go-to upstart thanks to the explosive popularity of its Hydro Mocs and progressive 1TRL line.

But it's hard to find anything that looks quite like the HOKA ONE ONE TOR Ultra series. Except for other HOKA sneakers, maybe.

Even then, HOKA silhouettes are on a different level, with thick Vibram MegaGrip soles that guarantee reliable traction and no-nonsense uppers that're unmistakably disinterested in trends.
