Josh Aronson’s latest exhibition “I Thought About Posting This" explores our relationship with social media and asks “What if some things were only meant to be experienced in real life, beyond the confines of an iPhone screen?”

The show touches on how we present ourselves online and how, a lot of the time, the images we share don’t fully reflect our lives.

“I’m interested in the way in which an image can identify with the space in between," the artist explains. "I’m looking at the poles of our identities, the pink end, and the blue end, and saying to myself, I’m neither pink nor blue, but somewhere in the middle."

“I Thought About Posting This” is on show at Chicago concept store Congruent Space. The exhibition opens today and runs until February 17, with an opening party this Friday.
