BAYCREWS

Brand: Journal Standard Relume x Snow Peak

Season: Fall 2021

Key Pieces: Deep pile everything. The matching cardigan and pant set are peak cozy, easily blanketed by the lined poncho for maximum warmth and weather protection.

Buy: BAYCREWS's web store from October 2021

Editor's Notes: Snow Peak is on a collaborative streak, coming in hot after its latest New Balance partnership with another Japan exclusive. Again, the outdoor expert is aligning with Journal Standard's Relume sub-label for a special assortment of loungey campfire essentials. The goods again are informed by a clear focus on comfort, delivering easygoing layering pieces and some unique accessories ideal for cooling weather — yep, Fall 2021 is already up for pre-order even though summer only just began.

Snow Peak nearly always blesses Journal Standard Relume with some exclusive goods each season. Though it frequently links with UNITED ARROWS and BEAMS, Journal Standard is Snow Peak's partner of choice. Owned by Japanese conglomerate BAYCREWS, Journal Standard is a big-box brand akin to the aforementioned retailers, plus competitors like Tomorrowland, Nano-Universe, and Ron Herman. Relume is Journal Standard's lower-priced label, aimed at unisex and genderless clothing for adults.

For Fall 2021, the duo have reunited for more deep-pile fleece — a frequent collaborative touchstone — and easy accessories. Alongside classic T-shirts and pullovers laden with Snow Peak's asterisk branding, there's a cushy, blanket-like poncho, fleece cardigan, and pants, all realized in versatile tones of black and caramel. And, because it wouldn't be Snow Peak without beverage holders, the pair have devised a special aluminum can, complete with faux pop-top and a perfectly-sized shoulder bag to take it on the go.
