Justin Bieber has confirmed via an Instagram post that he is indeed engaged to Hailey Baldwin. The post was captioned with a love letter to Bieber's fiancée, telling Baldwin that she's the love of his life and that he wants to spend the rest of his time on this planet with her. The singer, 24, is said to have proposed to the model, 21, at a luxury resort in the Bahamas on Saturday evening. TMZ writes that two eyewitnesses claim to have seen the proposal, including a request from Bieber’s security for guests to put their phones away.

The following morning, the singer's father Jeremy alluded to the engagement on Instagram. "@justinbieber Proud is an understatement! Excited for the next chapter!" he wrote.

According to TMZ, the pair started dating for a second time about a month ago after Bieber separated from Selena Gomez. Baldwin — daughter of actor Stephen Baldwin — was earlier rumored to have been seeing Canadian singer Shawn Mendes after the pair walked the red carpet together at the Met Gala in May.
