The Bulgarian designer's rise to fame kicked off in 2016 with the launch of his eponymous RTW fashion line. It quickly caught the public’s attention because of his workwear-inspired, juxtaposed designs, gaining him a spot on the 2017 Forbes 30 under 30 list, and being a semifinalist in this year's LVMH prize contest.
Earlier this year, the designer launched the Tonkin Ankle Boots in three dark tones: red, green, and black. A month later, it dropped a sneaker version of the boot, making this shoe's silhouette a signature piece from the London-based brand. Now, the iconic item is retailing for less than half its price.
The Kiko Kostadinov Tonkin Boots are made of pure leather, with a semi-shiny gloss and a chunky rubber sole. Features such as the two front touch straps, thick lining throughout and the 6cm rubber sole with oval-shaped grips give the boot a slightly robotic aesthetic. They also feature a pull-on tab for easy wear and a flexible leather panel at the top.
