Oakley has always been synonymous with sports. The world's greatest athletes have worn the brand whilst coming down the slopes, cycling around the world, and as part of their everyday uniform. Now, Kylian Mbappé joins Oakley as its latest ambassador.

At just 23, the French footballer has become one of the best players in the world, playing for his country as well as playing for Paris Saint-Germain alongside Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Sergio Ramos.

“Everyone knows what I’m all about when it comes to football – now, I’m excited to partner with a brand that wants to share my story off the pitch, and support what I want to do to help inspire global youth," said Kylian Mbappé.

The "Be Who You Are" campaign video captures his journey to the top from a little kid to playing in the World Cup, emphasizing his hard work and grit that made him into the great footballer he is today. “I relate to the Oakley attitude in many ways – the disruptive, innovative spirit and the drive to create positive change."

As part of Mbappé's partnership, he will front and support the Oakley lifestyle collection, including the Kato silhouette which was introduced in 2021. "The eyewear is pretty cool – you really feel like a superhero when you put on Kato!”

"At Oakley we believe that athletes aren’t measured only by the strength of their body, speed, or accuracy, but by the strength of their heart, kindness, and empathy. And that is what Kylian represents to us: a great human being that understands his role beyond sport – to lead and inspire future generations to believe in themselves and be who they are,” said Oakley Global Marketing Director Caio Amato.

There's plenty more to come from Kylian Mbappé and Oakley, so stay tuned and watch the "Be Who You Are" campaign above.
