Last month,  product images of a Levi’s x New Balance 992 leaked online. While official information has not been announced just yet Joe Grondin, New Balance senior collaborations manager and one of the masterminds behind the New England brand’s incredibly successful year, confirmed the release via his Instagram story.

Grondin revealed that the leaked images are real and that a release is to be expected “very soon.” He also shared that each pair is made using denim sourced from vintage US Levi’s grey wash jeans, making every pair unique.

The Levi’s x New Balance 992 follows high-profile collaborations on the same silhouette with the likes of Kith, JJJJOUND, and WTAPS to name a few. Levi’s version pays tribute to New Balance’s iconic grey colorway. It features a grey denim base with plush grey suede overlays in varying tones. The red Levi’s tag is attached to the reflective New Balance “N” logo branding.

Levi’s ongoing collaboration with New Balance has given us a co-branded, denim-wrapped 327 and 1300 so far.
