Five Years of LORENZ.OG's Air Max 95 Celebrated With a Dusky Stunner
You've heard of tasting the rainbow. Now get ready to wear it. To celebrate half a decade of flavorful Nike collabs, LORENZ.OG — whose real name is Lorenzo Federici — is releasing a colorful rendition of the shoe that started it all: The Air Max 95, which Federici first remixed back in 2021.
The "Menta/Dusk" Air Max features a sunset-inspired color gradient that transitions from purple to orange, a signature color marking the British sneaker customizer is quite known for.
The ombre effect continues at the gray panels, which mimic human muscles, while the outsole and heel represent the human spine. That Sergio Lozano is quite the fan of the human form.
Touches of yellow at the tongue, plus a golden-yellow Swoosh and Air Max tongue branding, add a bit of metaphorical sunshine to the colorful sneaker.
Previously, LORENZ.OG has also lent his talents to equally sunset-driven sneakers like the Sunder Max and the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1.
Separate from the swoosh, he's also brought his dusky rainbow funk to the trails with a chunky Salomon collab.
Now you won't be finding any literal gold at the end of LORENZ.OG's gloaming rainbow, but you will get gradient-style Air Units which, depending on who you listen to, are worth much more.
No literally. Previous pairs of LORENZ.OG collabs have hit the resale market for upwards of $4,000. In a sense, these hard-to-get collabs are actually worth more than gold.
