Editor’s Notes: The world is a much different place now than it was back in February when Maison Margiela previewed the Tabi x Instapump Fury as part of its ready-to-wear collection at PFW, but it's never been more ready for it. Perhaps it was foresight, but this bonkers, apocalypse-stomp of a shoe is peek 2020.

The hybrid shoe pairs the split-toed upper of the Tabi with Reebok's pump tooling. This technology was developed in 1989 to allow athletes to manually adjust the fit of the sneakers. For this particular silhouette, a small pump fills the patch that is wrapped around the upper, while a neighboring button is utilized to deflate it.

The flat–reminiscent of the former's Retro Fit sneaker– and the heeled silhouettes will be available September 2020 in all six colorways including solid black and solid white in two textures, as well as yellow, black and red, and white, blue and red, which celebrate Reebok’s OG colorways.

A sheet of Hexalite improves flexibility and stability on the first model, while a Graphlite carbon shank connects the plateau and the heel of the sole on the heeled variation.
