Moncler Made a Clarks Wallabee for the Mountains
Moncler is perpetually in its duffy, and now the undisputed king of winter coats is wading into Wallabee territory, with a decidedly rugged Clarks Wallabee collab. But as they say, good things come in threes. The Trailgrip Wallabee GTX is a three-way collab between Moncler, Clarks, and Fragment.
Picture it: a classic Wallabee designed to survive the tundra.
That's more or less what the sooty collab is giving with its dark and demure interpretation of the British shoe model.
Soft black suede lines the upper, while GORE-TEX lining enhances the shoe's all-weather wearability. Clarks has flirted with rugged configurations of its moccasin-inspired shoe in the past, but this three-pronged collab is one of the most intense pursuits of off-road pastures.
This is due in part to the Vibram Megagrip rubber outsole that provides enhanced traction on wet and dry ground. As nice as the Trailgrip Wallabee GTX looks, it's actually equipped to take on any number of dicey real-world climate situations.
Though, like many of Moncler's outputs, the Trailgrip Wallabee GTX's aesthetic propensity takes center stage. Though, to be fair, Fragment is categorically functional in all of its fashion pursuits, so it doesn't come as a surprise that one of Clarks' coolest shoes to date happens to also be its most functional.
