Editor's Notes: Sometimes a touch of vintage is all you need, or at least that's what the Nigel Cabourn x Vault by Vans collection would say if it could speak.

Few people can claim to have the know-how of military and vintage clothing like cult British designer Nigel Cabourn. Having launched his eponymous label in the '70s, Cabourn has been a staple and purveyor of vintage-inspired military garb for over 50 years. Since launching the first UK flagship store in 2014, he now has 51 global stores.

Now, the designer's eye for classic utilitarian styling is the decorative dress that extends across an arrangement of classic Vans silhouettes, retuned with the Vault touch.

At the front and center of the lineup is a three-peat of Vans' frontrunner, the OG Authentic LX. You'll find a patchwork denim colorway, classic green camouflage with striking hits of red, and a beige and navy option that seemingly borrows its styling from army sandbags.

The OG Slip-On LX sits on polar ends of the spectrum, with one fulfilling the need for a statement piece you might find in your grandparent's basement, while the olive drab colorway is a uniform classic.

Last but not least, on the footwear side, is a solo OG Style 24 LX rendered in full denim, a signature Cabourn textile.

As for collaborative apparel, there's a fleece pullover and cap laden with Nigel's own doodles. The centerpiece, though, is a carpet-inspired rendition of Nigel's Chore Coat, the British designer's favorite garment.

"I am very pleased to introduce my first collaboration with Vault by Vans," Cabourn said. “combining surf style with classic Cabourn military, a strong color story, and graphical influences, I really think we have come together to achieve a great, relaxed, après surf-inspired collection.”
