Several Nike classics are stepping back into the game this year, but the brand is also keeping its foot on the gas with brand-new models like the budget-friendly V5 RNR and Uplift shoes. Nike's now adding the A.C.E sneaker to the group chat.

Off the bat, the Nike A.C.E offers up the two main Cs of today's top sneakers: comfort and chunk. It's a pretty beefy sneaker finished with incredibly cushy details like a plush padded collar, meshy insoles, and cushioned foam soles.

Honestly, its overall thick design echoes that of the beloved Nike Air Monarch, the Swoosh's ultra-comfy chunkster designed for training and workouts, but proved to be an even better everyday dad shoe — more like the king of the dad shoes, really.

Although Nike's A.C.E looks extremely Monarch-ish (and maybe even a little Air-Max-Muse-coded), Nike's footwear designer David Mawdsley confirmed the all-new shoes draws inspiration from the brand's Ace tennis shoes from the '90s, hence its name "A.C.E."

The influence is especially evident in the stocky shape and the perforated toe box, as seen on the older Ace models.

To help kick off the model's era, Nike has prepared its A.C.E sneaker in two easy colorways: "Light Ivory/Element Pink" and "Sail White/Star Blue," a pink and blue option for moms and dads.

Each color scheme tops the shoe's textural design, including what looks like incredibly smooth leather, suede, and crisp ribbed knits. Nice.

Right now, the Nike A.C.E sneakers seem to be only available in China. But hopefully, the brand will share its latest parent-core sneaker with the rest of the world soon.
