Nike’s Greatest Sneaker Is Even Better in Italian Leather
How to make Nike's Air Force 1 Low, one of the greatest sneakers to exist, better? Impossible, some might say. Nike's thoughts? Italian leather.
The sportswear brand has once again redesigned the Air Force 1, this time taking it on an all-expenses-paid trip to Italy.
The "Made in Italy" Forces appear to feature an Italian leather construction, complete with various textural finishes. The sneaker goes from glossy patent leather to matte and ends with a pebbled heel that almost feels like those croc skin Forces all over again.
Nike is no stranger to the luxury space, having worked with Louis Vuitton and jeweler Tiffany for some of the most coveted Air Forces of all time. It's also released Italian-made Forces in the past.
They're extremely rare, but "Made in Italy" Forces have been a thing. Nike previously produced luxurious low-top and high-top versions made with fine woven leather.
Now, the brand says "ciao" again with a freshly baked pair.
The "Made in Italy" Air Force 1 sneakers are expected to drop in black and “Iron Grey” colorways on Nike’s website in the spring.
According to sneaker leakers, these will not only be a limited release but they'll also cost you $600.
