Nike's Miu Miu era is finally here. The Nike Sprint Sister sneaker is a super-flat speed-focused stunner that races right into Miu Miu madness, which is arguably the best place to be for a sneaker right now.

With its double laces, textured upper and slim build, the Nike Sprint Sister looks like a direct relative of Miu Miu's genre-defining flat-soled Gymnasium sneaker and flattened New Balance collabs.

In just a few short years, Miu Miu has turned double laces and a barely-there sole into the ultimate style signifier. Naturally, everyone wants to take a bite out of that. More laces, more problems? Maybe no sole, no problem.

To be clear, Miu Miu isn't in the business of collaborating with too much of anyone except New Balance, even though its limited-edition dad shoes have inspired many a double-laced shoe in its short life.

But beyond its Miu Miu flavoring, the Nike Sprint Sister's silhouette does align with the narrow build of some of the Swoosh’s in-house models, like the Nike Moon shoe that Jacquemus just can't get enough of.

Despite all of this, the Nike Sprint Sister, available on the Nike website for $127, does have some unique traits, including its carved-eyelet Swoosh, which give the simple sneaker some sliced-up charm.

While the original Sprint Sister that released in 1979 was all business, no play, this delightful rendition is a masterclass in mixing sportswear function with modern sneaker styling.

The Sprint Sister is both undeniably retro and totally of the time. Duality — it's not just for laces.
