Editor’s Notes: Like many Jordan release over the years, the Air Jordan 1 "Lucky Green" draws inspiration from an iconic Michael Jordan performance. The thematic pair, which is part of the brand's Holiday 2020 lineup, pays homage to MJ's 63-point playoff game against the Boston Celtics during his rookie year.

According to Nike, the "Lucky Green" 1s focus on progress, not perfection, as a young Michael Jordan was just getting his feet wet in the NBA back in 1986. Still, his standout playoff performance against the Celtics caused Larry Bird to proclaim, “It’s just God disguised as Michael Jordan.”

Playing on the theme of progression, these Jordans showcase a raw construction with unstitched eyelets and matted green leather. And while they are a women's exclusive, expect the 1s to be available in larger sizes to fit men.

The "Lucky Green" Air Jordan 1 is one of many anticipated releases from Jordan Brand's Holiday 2020 collection. To give you a better feel for the assortment, we ranked them from worst to best here.
