Nike Put Another Beautifully Techy Sweater on Its Smartest Sneaker
It's one thing to design a mind-stimulating sneaker with actual scientists. It's another to put that very model in a tech sweater. Well, Nike did it.
The Mind 002 sneaker is back rocking Nike Flyknit for its latest "Fossil Stone" release. The uppers are fully decked out in breathable knit materials, which appear in a beige-ish color this time.
The rest of the sneaker is basically Nike's science experiment at work. It features the signature beefed-up soles, including those big Mind bulbs which send signals to the brain to increase awareness.
Nike has used Flyknit on some of its best modern-day running shoes and even old-school runners like the LD-1000. It turns out, it looks good on its brainiest sneakers, too.
The Flyknit Mind shoes started as a strictly Fragment collaboration. Then, the two brands decided to give the sweater-y sneaker a wider release, releasing a few in-line color options earlier this year.
And so the Flyknit Mind era continues.
Retailing for $145, the "Fossil Stone" Mind 002 sneakers are slated to release on Nike's website on September 3.
