While there has been some confusion about the exact release date (and a few changes), the June 24th drop date has now been confirmed by various retailers as well as the Swoosh.

The trio of sneakers is part of Virgil Abloh’s latest collaborative collection, dubbed Nike c/o Virgil Abloh “Athlete in Progress.”  Highsnobiety got its hands on the volt colorway of the upcoming release, giving you your closest look yet. Check out the kicks above.

After Virgil Abloh announced his “The Ten” collection would be coming to an end earlier this year, it was widely expected that his next project would fall under Nike’s running category, which has now been confirmed.

The “Athlete in Progress” collection comprises a balance of performance product and post-run apparel and footwear, all of which are inspired by Nike’s retro running shoe design. Reigning 800-meter champion Caster Semenya stars in Abloh and Nike’s campaign imagery below.

"I started talking with Nike about this women’s running project last summer and at the time, I was very much inspired by the aesthetic and style of track and field athletes. As a result, I invited some of Nike’s elite track and field champions to participate in my SS19 Off-White runway show as the natural forerunner to developing and showcasing the collection," says Abloh.

Pieces from the collection were unveiled at Abloh’s Paris Fashion Week SS19 runway show and then again by the designer at Coachella, when he was spotted wearing a pair of the aforementioned Off-White™ x Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5.
