After teasing a black colorway of his upcoming Nike Running collaboration at Coachella over the weekend, Virgil Abloh has now shared two more colorways of the same sneaker through the OFF-WHITE Active Instagram page. Joining the black pair are a volt version and a predominantly white colorway. Check them out below.
The post is captioned “@off___white c/o @nike women’s running.” Whether this means the new collection will only be for women only remains to be seen.
The black pair, featured in detail above, was originally posted on the OFF-WHITE and Louis Vuitton designer’s main feed and story and appears to fuse the tooling from Nike's Air Zoom Terra Kiger series with a more retro-looking upper with suede overlays at the heel and toe.
Last September, Abloh hosted a track-themed OFF-WHITE SS19 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, giving us our first look at a number of Nike running styles that are expected to drop at some point this season. The Coachella pair (and new colorways), while not shown on the runway, could belong to the same collection.
Abloh is a long-time Nike collaborator, first dropping co-branded kicks with the Swoosh back in late 2017. Since his “The Ten” collection with Nike debuted, it has expanded to more than 30 pairs of sneakers. Abloh confirmed late last year that the “The Ten” project was coming to an end, but it looks like the designer has something new with Nike to come.
