Highsnobiety

Off-White™, the brainchild of Virgl Abloh established in 2012, has more than left its mark on the sneaker community over the past few years. Much of that is owed to the ongoing Off-White™ x Nike collaboration, which has spawned well over 40 different sneakers and more colorways than anyone could ever keep track of (though we tried here). Additionally, the Milan-based brand has its own range of footwear that consistently raise eyebrows — some proving to be more popular with sneakerheads than others and most coming at a higher price point than the Nike collaborations.

While Off-White™ has been around for almost 10 years, the brand’s relevance in the sneaker world can be traced back to 2017, when Virgil Abloh and Nike kickstarted “The Ten” collaboration. The shoes — hugely popular worldwide and reselling for exorbitant sums — helped Abloh and Off-White™ etch their names in sneaker folk lore. With Nike, Abloh has been given free reign to reimagine some of the Swoosh’s most popular sneaker silhouettes. The designer has worked on everything from Nike’s sacred Air Jordan 1, totally reworking it like never before, to the OG Waffle Racer and more contemporary models such as the Air VaporMax and the Air Presto.

Abloh’s in-house footwear line at Off-White™ also tends to draw inspiration from existing models. The Off-White™ Vulcanized sneaker shares many similarities with Vans models, though selling at a much higher price point. The Industrial Tape sneaker is a high-top reminiscent of the Air Force 1, featuring an ankle strap made from Off-White™’s viral industrial belt.

Considering the huge amounts of releases coming out of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ x Nike collaboration alone, we’ve put together a comprehensive list of pretty much every Off-White™ sneaker release in recent memory.

Off-White™ x Nike Waffle Racer

Nike

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Waffle Racer SP

Key Features: Each of the three colorways features the athlete’s tape-inspired film covering on the upper. The new Waffle Racers boast contrasting spiked rubber outsoles and hiking cord laces that fasten the sneaker at anchor points, mimicking outdoor apparatuses.

Release Date: December 2019

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ and Nike added this release to their already impressive output of track and field-inspired apparel and runners, building on the previous Off-White™ x Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5 and the Vapor Street. The shoes take aesthetic cues from outdoorwear and retro athletic-wear, and Bill Bowerman’s original designs.

Arriving in “Black,” “White” and “Vivid Sky” colorways, Off-White™’s Nike Waffle Racer SP was the third sneaker drop in the women’s “Athlete in Progress” running collection.

Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low

Nike

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Dunk Low

Key Features: All three colorways feature a two-tone leather upper with signature Off-White™ text detailing on the instep. Hiking-inspired lacing is added over the original laces.

Release Date: December 2019

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: The Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low collaboration was originally rumored long before Virgil Abloh unveiled two runway-only versions of the Dunk Low in collaboration with Futura Laboratories at Paris Fashion Week. Those pairs were reserved for friends and family only, much to the disappointment of everyone who saw them on social media.

Off-White™ x Nike Air Jordan 5

Nike

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Air Jordan 5

Key Features: Virgil Abloh’s take on the Nike Air Jordan 5 features a synthetic ripstop upper with a fully-reflective silver tongue and circular windows around the mid panel and ankle collar. The sneakers also arrive with the customary zip-tie and Off-White™ text branding.

Release Date: February 2020

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: Virgil Abloh is known to debut his Nike collaborations at Paris Fashion Week, having done so previously with the Off-White™ x Nike Air Jordan 1s.

The Nike Air Jordan 5 celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2020 and Jordan Brand is expected to be releasing a number of special collaborations and OG colorways, one of which is the Abloh-designed iteration above.

Off-White™ x Nike Air Jordan 4

Your Highsnobiety privacy settings have blocked this Instagram post.

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Air Jordan 4

Key Features: The collaborative Air Jordan 4 is showcased in a cream colorway, seemingly featuring nubuck uppers. Tonal plastic cages and panels appear on the side and heel, while Abloh and Off-White™’s signature branding is applied just above the Air unit and on the laces. The shoes come with an Off-White™ zip-tie, as well as a Jordan Brand tag.

Release Date: TBA 2020

Buy: TBA

Editor’s Notes: After releasing a coveted iteration of the Air Jordan 5, Abloh set his sights on another Jordan Brand delivery, this time centered around the Air Jordan 4.

The Off-White™ x Air Jordan 4 made its runway debut in Off-White™’s Fall/Winter 2020 women’s show in Paris. The sneaker was first teased, however, as a prototype during Virgil’s MCA Chicago “Figures of Speech” exhibition.

Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low "University Red"

Stadium Goods

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Dunk Low "University Red"

Key Features: Crafted almost entirely from leather, the sneaker’s upper features a grey base with red overlays around the toe box, Swoosh, and heel. As with the other two colorways, this version comes with a hiking-inspired lacing system that sits over the traditional lacing system.

Release Date: December 2019

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: Off-White™ x Nike text branding is seen on the medial side of the shoe, while an orange tag is visible on the lateral side Swoosh. The tongue leaves the foam exposed around the edges, a hallmark of Abloh’s original “The Ten” collaboration.

Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low “University Gold”

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Dunk Low "University Gold"

Key Features: Featuring navy blue and gold color-blocking throughout, the almost all-leather sneaker sits atop a white midsole. To complete the look, the black outsole is textured with different patterns: one at the heel, one at the toe box. Lastly a double eye-stay system with two contrasting pairs of laces makes the "University Gold" colorway a standout.

Release Date: December 2019

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: This navy/yellow colorway, done up in the “Michigan” color scheme from the original “Be True To Your School” Nike Dunks pack, is part of a three-sneaker trio that includes the white/green colorway, as well as a red/white colorway.

Two more colorways, dubbed “UNC” and “Syracuse” and featuring Futura co-branding, were unveiled at Off-White™’s Spring/Summer 2020 Paris Fashion Week runway show.

Off-White™ "Industrial Tape"

Brand: Off-White™

Model: Industrial Tape

Key Features: The high-top sneaker was released in two colorways, one in black and the other in white, alongside a low-cut silhouette, also in white. All pairs in the collection are made from premium leather and feature the brand’s arrows logo, the signature yellow and black industrial belt tape, and the characteristic orange zip ties.

Release Date: January 2018

Editor’s Notes: Like nearly all Off-White™ products, Abloh’s signature design elements are present throughout.

Key Features: With a leather and canvas upper, they feature Off-White™’s signature zip-tie detailing, paired with Virgil Abloh’s affinity for typographic graphics.

Release Date: May 2018

Editor’s Notes: Complementing the Nike “Ten Collection”, these Off-White™-brand sneakers featured very similar elements that Abloh introduced through his Swoosh collaboration.

Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 Kids

Nike

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Air Force 1 Kids

Key Features: The kid-sized sneakers in both black and volt colorways almost perfectly mimic the adult sizes, right down to the huge stitched Swoosh.

Release Date: December 2018

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: Virgil Abloh’s pint-sized sneakers are the perfect combination of adorable and steez.

Off-White™ Low Vulcanized

SSENSE

Brand: Off-White™

Model: Low Vulcanized

Key Features: Suede and canvas make up a relatively simple upper, while graphically the shoe’s defining feature is the Off-White™ arrow logo on the lateral side, with Off-White™ text branding and a contrasting midsole section on the medial side. The slightly thicker, vulcanized sole features the label’s signature hazard stripe pattern.

Release Date: August 2019

Buy: SSENSE

Editor’s Notes: SSENSE stocked three exclusive colorways of Off-White™s Low Vulcanized sneaker, which is Virgil Abloh’s take on the prototyical skate shoe, albeit with a slightly thicker sole unit and Off-White™ branding. It’s one of the brand’s more simple footwear designs and comes in three tonal colorways.

Off-White™ Nike Zoom Terra Kiger 5

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Zoom Terra Kiger 5

Key Features: Combining performance product with post-run aesthetic appeal, the sneakers feature nylon uppers with suede overlays, plus a hiking-inspired lacing system that wraps around both sides of the foot. On the medial side of the shoe is a Nike Swoosh and classic Off-White™ elements such as zip ties and bold branding hits, while a Zoom sole sits atop a spiked, track and field-style outsole.

Release Date: June 2019

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: The kicks came in electric green, black, and white colorways, all with eye-popping neon accents. This line of performance kicks has been dubbed Nike c/o Virgil Abloh “Athlete in Progress,” marking the start of the designer’s foray into working with Nike Running.

Off-White™ x Nike Vapor Street

Nike

Brand: Off-White™ x Nike

Model: Vapor Street

Key Features: Optioned in black and pink, yellow and black, and blue and yellow, Abloh and Off-White™’s Nike Vapor Street features a transparent film covering the upper, while the runner also boasts an asymmetric lacing system and elongated traction grips on the outsole. Large Swoosh branding then takes over the lateral side, and Off-White™ tagging appears on the medial side.

Release Date: November 2019

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: The Off-White™ x Nike Vapor Street is part of a running-focused collection that includes a range of apparel and follows the collaborative Zoom Terra Kiger 5 release in June 2019.

Off-White™ x Nike Dunk Low "Pine Green"

Off-White™ x Nike Blazer Spooky

Model: Blazer Spooky

Key Features: The Off-White™ x Nike Blazer Spooky Pack was first confirmed by Abloh in August 2018, featuring a mixed-material upper and an oversized, displaced rubber Swoosh. Of course, trademark Off-White™ branding can be found on the medial sides of each shoe, while a powder blue zip tie replaces the iconic red one of the original Off-White™ x Nike Blazer.

Release Date: October 2018

Buy: GOAT

Editor’s Notes: Coming in an all black and orange/light tan, pumpkin-inspired colorway, the two sneakers from Virgil Abloh’s Off-White™ x Nike Blazer “Spooky Pack” came in characteristically limited numbers, with each of them dropping on October 3.

Off-White™ x Converse Chuck 70s

Release Date: October 2018

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: These sneakers followed the release of the previously mentioned Off-White™ x Nike Blazer “Spooky Pack.”

OFF-WHITE

Release Date: October 2018

Editor’s Notes: After both the “Black” and “Menta” Nike Air Max 97s were unveiled at the Off-White™ Spring/Summer 2019 show in Paris in June 2018, Off-White™ and Nike confirmed both colorways would be released later the same year.

Model: Air Force 1

Key Features: This release came in two models, each of the sneakers arriving with seamless, no-stitch uppers, along with deconstructed detailing and Off-White™ x Nike branding throughout. Release Date: December 2018

Release Date: August 2018

Buy: StockX

Editor’s Notes: Virgil Abloh’s entire Off-White™ x Nike footwear collection is built on a deconstructed DIY theme, so it comes as no surprise that those lucky enough to cop a pair went on to put their own spin on the sneakers.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do Off-White™ sneakers fit?

When it comes to fit, it is generally recommended to size down when buying Off-White sneakers. For example, with the low vulcanized sneakers, true-to-size (tts) may not yield the best experience, since some users have reported they are sized big. In this case an 11.5 tts equates to a size 11 for the same model.

Where to buy Off-White™ sneakers?

Off-White kicks are relatively easy to get ahold of, the brand has 50 independent stores including locations like Hong Kong, Toronto, Tokyo, Singapore. It also continues to be carried by stores such as Barneys, Selfridges and Le Bon Marché in conjunction with being vastly accessible online be it through the official website or externally. Physically, online, through a partner store, through their official store, you name it – there is almost no excuse for not being able to cop your pair of Off-Whites.

How do you buy Off-White™ sneakers for retail?

Fun fact: The average Off-White x Jordan kick is resold for approximately $1000 – having been retailed for $200. Sadly, we don’t make the sneaker supply and demand rules, but we can offer you some advice on how not to be the next sob story that blew out all their cash on an overpriced kick. Fans looking to save a couple hundred bucks, especially any Off-White x Nike collabs, can head over to the Nike SNKRS app (a raffle that drops limited shoes. Aficionados have been known to create multiple accounts just to get closer to that “W” – it is, that deep.
