Onitsuka Tiger

If Cinderella were set in modern times, instead of a glass slipper, there's a chance she'd be rocking a fresh pair of sneakers. But what would a comparable design look like? Onitsuka Tiger insists such a shoe would be showcased in prismatic colors, of course, reminiscent of the glass slipper.

To bring this vision to life, the Japanese brand has partnered with Amazon Prime Video movie, Cinderella, for a new take on the glass slipper that goes beyond gender and age. Starring Camila Cabello, the film itself is told from a modern and more diverse perspective that falls in line with the next generation image of women.

Based on a novel interpretation of the glass slipper, the P-TRAINER PRZM from the Onitsuka Tiger Contemporary Collection appears in prismatic colors, again, to mimic the look of the glass slipper. A glossy, mirror-like effect draws immediate attention to the shoe's upper, while the platform sole below is decorated with the signature Onitsuka Tiger Stripes. Both the Onitsuka Tiger logo and movie title are implemented on the tongue label and insole to properly signal the collaboration, as the iconic tiara from the film is depicted on the heel.

Onitsuka Tiger has yet to announce a launch date for the P-TRAINER PRZM "Cinderella," but expect the limited edition sneaker to arrive sometime around the movie's September 3 release.
