Patta doesn't do misfires. A quick flick through its archive of collaborations and the product speaks for itself. C.P. Company? Banger. Napapijri? Flames. Of course, we can't go about discussing Patta collaborations without mentioning its recent Nike Air Max 1 selection (a four-strong line-up) – arguably the best AM1s we've seen in a while.
In a demonstration of three-piece success, the Amsterdam-based streetwear legends once again call upon Mizuno, delivering a 90s-inspired collection of apparel and footwear.
First and foremost, the joint release serves up an exclusive rendition of the Mizuno Sky Medal. This old-school classic is everything that you want from a retro sneaker – it's streamlined, features a mixed fabrication, is beautifully color-blocked, and pairs with all kinds of 'fits effortlessly.
Patta's touch-up of the silhouette is rendered with "Ivory" mesh underlays, with "Green" and "Red" leather handling the overlays and branding respectively, while a perfectly executed yellow-beige tone fills the tongue.
A homage to sneakers and sportswear of the past, the co-branded Sky Medal is complimented by a selection of apparel lines, including a classic Patta blue two-piece tracksuit and a co-branded facemask.
