PUMA officially rolls out the welcome mat for the VELOPHASIS, tapping Skepta to give the new model the Big Smoke introduction.

While attending Casablanca's Fall/Winter 2023 showcase during Paris Fashion Week, the musician and PUMA partner advanced his internet daddy status in an open vest look, complete with PUMA's forthcoming VELOPHASIS sneaker.

In other GRWM-style images, Skepta laced up again in the VELOPHASIS sneakers, which boasted a sleek, classic black and white look.

While the shoe officially passes the Big Smoke vibe check, this isn't the VELOPHASIS' first fashion week appearance.

PUMA's VELOPHASIS debuted during PUMA's epic New York Fashion Week presentation in September, alongside a grande-scale rollout of super-platform shoes and couture-level headwear.

NBA star Kyle Kuzma, who starred in PUMA's Hometown Heroes campaign, also provided on-foot looks at the VELOPHASIS back in November. I mean, who better to preview the sneaker than the man whose noteworthy style was recently immortalized as a bobblehead?

Regarding design, let's just say that PUMA's VELOPHASIS arrives right on time for the ongoing Y2K craze.

Honeycomb mesh combines with contrasting leather overlays on the upper, resulting in a futuristic design inspired by the 00s running shoes and PUMA's COMPLETE series — the brand's 2000s line responsible for its iCELL and EverRide materials.

Think of it as if PUMA took on ASICS' Gel-Kayano 14 (though, that collab is unlikely to happen).

With a CMEVA sole and VELOPHASIS branding on the heel, PUMA's forthcoming shoe arrives in two renditions, "Bionic" and "Phased."

The PUMA VELOPHASIS Bionic arrives first in a cream and electro-blue colorway, slated to drop on February 4. Phased follows up with a pretty respectable drop in three colorways — Skepta's pair included — on February 11 via PUMA's website and at select stockists.

PUMA confirms there's more in store for the VELOPHASIS this year, teasing more schemes and collaborations to come by Spring 2023.

Who knows? We may see VELOPHASIS get the real Big Smoke treatment soon.
