Reese Cooper shared a look at his label’s latest footwear collaboration with outdoor brand Merrell 1 TRL. The shoe, of which two colorways were previewed, was first showcased at Reese Cooper’s SS22 runway show as part of the “Fresh Air” collection in late June.

The shoe is called the Reese Cooper x Merrell 1 TRL Hydro Runner and, as the name suggests, is an upgraded take on the latter’s iconic Hydro Moc. While the Hydro Moc is a slip-on shoe that is designed to fit and act more like a sandal, the Hydro Runner has clear running sensibilities. One such is the mesh upper and more rugged tread on the midsole.

The mesh upper keeps the shoe breathable but encloses more than its Hydro Moc cousin. The webbed rubber design that makes the Moc such a standout shoe is also seen on the Runner. Reese Cooper branding is seen on the heel strap of both colorways.

No release info has been made available yet, so stay tuned. In the meantime, check out both colorways above.
