Italian shoe brand ROA recently revealed what appears to be its most expansive collection to date. Designed for Spring/Summer 2021, the seasonal assortment includes both new silhouettes and revamps of the label's classic styles.

One shoe in particular that caught our eye from ROA SS21 is the Gorak, a brand new slip-on designed for urban crossover wear. The sneaker boasts a lightweight build, and more noticeably showcases an innovative lacing system.

The Gorak is offered in five bold colorways for SS21, ranging from green and blue, to red, faded brown, and all-black. Mesh, nylon, and synthetic materials come together across the shoe's upper, which is paired with a Vibram sole unit below for both durability and grip. The Gorak is detailed with exposed stitching throughout and branded with subtle logos at the toe and heel. The standout design element of the slip-on emerges via the aforementioned lacing system, which consists of a single strap that zig zags atop the forefoot.

Altogether, the color palette for ROA's new spring/summer collection is inspired by the work of photographer and traveler, Naoki Ishikawa, and his time spent traversing the highest peaks of the Himalayas. You can get a look at the entire SS21 catalog here.
