Editor’s Notes: Ruohan Wang and Nike have teamed up on a collection comprising three of the Swoosh’s most iconic silhouettes: the Air Force 1, Air Max 90, and Blazer Mid. Each pair is crafted using Nike Flyleather, which is a sustainable material made with at least 50% recycled leather fiber.

“I think everybody plays a part in practicing sustainability,” Wang tells Highsnobiety. “I enjoy biking or walking instead of driving. Taking the stairs instead of using the elevator is the easiest thing in my daily life.”

The Berlin-based artist is known for her abstract use of color. Wang’s art for this project follows the theme of “embracing our earth” and features a balance of humans co-existing with nature.

The Ruohan Wang x Nike collection drops on September 24 via Nike SNKRS.
