It's safe to say the last sacai x Nike LDWaffle was one of 2019's most coveted sneaker releases. And now, the pair continue the collaboration with a third installment. First teased at Paris Fashion Week, the latest LDWaffle arrives in both black and white colorways, this time making use of nylon. The last LDWaffle didn't stick around for long, to say the least, and neither did this one. However, you can still get your hands on a pair at StockX.
We first spotted the sneakers at the sacai Spring/Summer 2020 show at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, and though the green and purple iteration hasn't got a release date yet, we'll settle for the monochrome pairs for now. The 2020 LDWaffle replaces the previous sneakers' leather, suede, and mesh with nylon, while the double everything aesthetic remains. The shoes are finished off with satin laces, reflecting the Japanese label's favoring of luxe aesthetics, merging this with Nike's performance-led elements.
As if you needed reminding of this, the latest LDWaffle is sure to be a hard-to-cop piece. StockX market data shows that sale prices are currently passing the $600 mark on some sizes, more than three times the expected retail price. Average resale prices are currently at around $350 on both colorways.
