Salomon recently released an "Alpines Echoes" collection featuring dressed-up trail models and arguably the best-looking Marie Jeanne to date.

The Marie Jeanne, essentially Salomon's own Mary Jane sneaker, features an upper made of creamy leather upper and sturdy technical mesh. It's all dressed in this nice earthy brown and silver hardware.

It's essentially still the same trail-worthy Mary Jane sneaker at heart (straps and chunky grippy soles included). But it's very luxurious now.

I can't say that it's the most luxe pair yet, considering luxury label COMME des GARÇONS took it for a spin. The results were a couture-ish platformed Mary Jane sneaker.

The newest laceless Salomon shoes are by far the nicest general-release effort yet, though.

Don't get me wrong, the Marie Jeanne has appeared in nice rotation-ready color schemes. But let's be honest, these chocolate-brown leather Mary Janes are not only cutesy but top-tier.

Again, it's part of Salomon's "Alpine Echoes" collection, which also includes X-ALP and XA PRO 3D sneakers. The dressy brown sneakers essentially speak to Salomon's history in the mountains. Better yet, they're meant to "echo" its roots.

The leather Marie Jeanne has already sold out on Salomon's website (shocker). But good news: they're also available at select retailers like Slam Jam, which sells them for $153.
