Shinola recently announced its next foray into audio with the unveiling of its Canfield headphone collection, and we had the chance to take these bad boys for a spin before they officially dropped to the public.

The collection consists of four distinct styles and we were able to test drive the Over-Ear headphones, one of the more traditional styles out of the bunch. The first thing that caught my eye was the extra sturdy carrying case that they come housed in, perfect for tossing in your duffle bag or luggage without fear of damaging your new gear.

If it’s looks you’re going for, these beauties have it all. The Over-Ears have an amazing hand-feel and a bit of heft— they clock in at just under 15 ounces so you know the build quality is on point. The beautiful lambskin leather details combined with its stainless steel components give these a luxuriously elegant look.

Beauty aside, the Shinola Over-Ears are acoustically tuned by their sound engineers in Detroit and uses a 50mm dynamic driver with a natural frequency response that’ll bring your favorite jams to life.

In layman’s terms, it means this thing will give you a super-rich listening experience that only the good folks at Shinola could bring you in such an attractive package.

Retailing at $595, you’ll be able to cop the Over-Ear headphones as well as the full Canfield collection now on Shinola’s website.
