Noisemakers and 2025 glasses might be in the trash by now, but the Lunar New Year is still upon us. With the Chinese holiday approaching on January 29, Stone Island is prepared for the celebrations with a new collection.

After inventing new leathers and literal metal jackets, the Italian label releases its Year of the Snake '025 capsule, featuring jackets, t-shirts, joggers, sweatshirts, and baseball hats.

Stone Island's Year of the Snake collection goes for a very understated approach to the year's symbolic animal. Without further investigation, you might not even notice the pieces are celebrating the Lunar New Year, as Stone Island reimagines the snake's curves in a very, well, Stone Island way.

Red stitching on the front and back of the outerwear contrasts with the gray and black clothing, while special wavy quilting nods directly to the snake's slithery, flexible character.

The sleeves are modular and removable, expressing the new year's "spirit of transformation and rebirth," according to the brand.

It's giving serpent without being too obvious about it.

The Year of the Snake collection follows up on 2024's Year of the Dragon capsule from Stone Island. Similarly, the dragon pieces also incorporated a subtle reference to the Lunar New Year, keeping things very understated and simple, lining up with the brand's typical look. I suppose if it's not broke, why fix it?

If any Stone Island bois are wondering, the full Stone Island Year of the Snake '025 collection is out now on the brand's website and select stores.
