Brand: Stüssy x Union

Buy: Union LA, Union Tokyo, Stussy's website, and stores in LA, New York, Shibuya, and Harajuku.

Editor's Notes: Stüssy was founded nine years before Union but they're both very much of the same era and area, even though Union only migrated west after debuting in New York. Before the internet, before "the culture" as we know it, Stüssy and Union were setting the standard for what became contemporary streetwear. Now, they're back together for Union LA's 30th anniversary, celebrating three decades of trailblazing leadership.

Union's been around the block a few times and ample experience has allowed owner Chris Gibbs to keep his finger to the pulse of what really matters, cutting through the hype to find real substance. "Back in the day when you wore certain things, they meant something," he told Highsnobiety in 2018. "We stand behind what we sell by wearing it ourselves, by showing people we love what we do."

This earnest hands-on approach has inspired Union's familial 30th anniversary collabs, which range from Jordan Brand to NOAH. Stüssy is also part of Union's OG community and its commemorative capsule is underscored by an emphatic appreciation for partnership.

The Union Frontman logo is core to the collection, gracing the rear of some graphic tees, some paisley-patterned shirts, and a very beachy baja hoodie, which is seen with a corduroy bucket that boosts the cozy factor. Elsewhere, T-shirts and hoodies are emblazoned with "The Stüssy Union" verbiage, a playful ode to collaboration that's a little more pally than your usual co-branding. There's also a super cool "Know The 'Ledge" doormat that reinterprets Union's trademark catchphrase with Stüssy's inimitable typeface.
