Supreme Made Fashion's Rarest Brand Even More Exclusive
Supreme has no chill. The brand has been on a hot streak as of late, following up a best-in-years Spring/Summer 2026 collection with an equally great Fall/Winter 2026 preview. But this feels on another level; Supreme saw Labor Day marked on calendars, knew people were enjoying a well-deserved long weekend, and still said:
“Fuck it. Drop the a.PRESSE collab.”
Like a flash of lightning striking streetwear, Supreme and a.PRESSE have teamed up on a collection of, well, supremely well-crafted clothing befitting Kazuma Shigematsu’s Japanese menswear label. Set aside the shock of seeing this announcement made without warning, and the major co-sign of a.PRESSE just five years into its life almost feels overdue.
Even in late 2024, when we stopped by the brand’s Tokyo flagship, the sparseness of the shelves was because many of its pieces sold out the same day they were delivered. Lines that snake around the block for absurdly popular, extremely limited releases sound familiar? It’s no wonder Supreme came calling.
The hype isn’t hyperinflated, either. What may seem on the surface to be another Japanese brand mixing workwear, military, and Americana influences is anything but ordinary; a.PRESSE has set itself apart from the pack through custom fabrics and complex finishing techniques. Think bombers that look like cotton but are washed silk, or trucker jackets made of Spanish leather. And then think about the eye-watering, but appropriate, pricing for Shigematsu’s meticulously considered pieces.
Consider this Supreme collection the affordable entry point into a.PRESSE. Or, relatively affordable. There may be a $4,498 buttery calfskin leather jacket and a $3,498 cotton-silk suit in the mix, but there’s also a $78 tee and $98 camp cap. The impending release of the Supreme x a.PRESSE collection on September 10 may not give you much time to organize the sale of a non-essential organ, but there’s more to this drop than actually managing to buy a piece.
We may have been tooting the a.PRESSE horn here for a minute, but niche is still niche. That doesn’t just signal a.PRESSE's strength; it signals that the 32-year-old Supreme brand still has the juice to surprise us with an unexpected but oh-so-right collaboration.
