Double Tap to Zoom

Summer may be coming to a close, but there's still ample time to feel the breeze on your feet. The adidas Samba Jane is making a strong case for keeping things breezy, taking the terrace classic and giving it a decidedly more open, Mary Jane-style makeover.

The real draw here, though, is the crocheted upper. The soft Halo Green and Warm Vanilla tones give the texture a summery feel, while hits of gold add a little shine.

Then there’s that Mary Jane strap, which pushes the Samba further into ballet-sneaker territory without completely losing the terrace appeal that made it a hit in the first place.

It’s another example of adidas finding new ways to keep the Samba in the conversation without messing with it too much. The serrated 3-Stripes and familiar branding are still doing what they do best, but the crochet gives the whole thing a much more laid-back feel. Perfect for those early fall days.

Basically, it’s a Samba for when the usual Samba feels a little too predictable. Throw it on with shorts or loose denim and let the texture do the heavy lifting.

Summer might be clocking out, but the Samba Jane clearly isn’t ready to.

Obviously, the minty crochet is working, because it’s already sold out on adidas’ website. Don’t fret, though, you can still grab a pair on GOAT.
