Danny McBride is returning to HBO to star in the network's new comedy series, The Righteous Gemstones. The show centers around a family of deviant, greedy televangelists, led by father Eli Gemstone (played by John Goodman).

In addition to McBride, who previously starred in Eastbound & Down and Vice Principals, as well as Goodman, The Righteous Gemstones features Adam Devine who portrays Eli Gemstone's youngest son, Kelvin, with McBride playing his older brother, Jesse. Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Calvero, Tim Baltz, and Greg Alan Williams also star.
