Double Tap to Zoom
Melitta Baumeister
1 / 8

Melitta Baumeister doesn't do subtle. Never has, hopefully never will, and her Nike collab is the very proof.

The Pegasus Premium "Volt" is the kind of shoe that makes you stop mid-scroll. Volt and Cyber yellow as the base, black paint streaked across the midsole and eyelets like the shoe got too close to a bonfire.

And here's the thing: every single pair is hand-painted. No two are identical. That's no small feat, but that's just how Baumeister rolls.

Then there are the eyes. A giant all-seeing eye stares out from the medial side panel, built from hundreds of tiny dots. Flip the shoe over and the Zoom Air unit reads "Run Like No One Is Watching."

It's the name of the campaign, it's a life philosophy, and it's stitched into the bottom of a running shoe. Very Melitta.

Olympic gold medalist Sha'Carri Richardson wore them first. If that doesn't tell you everything about the vibe here, nothing will.

Available globally on April 8 for $220 on Nike’s website. It’s fair to imagine, when they’re gone, they’re gone.
