The Chinese New Year hasn't even begun yet — it officially kicks off on January 29 — but it's already an incredibly stylish affair. Since the top of the month, fashion labels have delivered serpentine Year of the Snake collections and cool campaigns honoring the holiday.

Let's now all gather around Valentino. The brand's new set of visuals celebrating the Chinese New Year has just dropped for the fashion boys and girls' moodboards.

Valentino's campaign enlists actress Sun Li and the "Queen of C-Pop" Jolin Tsai, dressed in looks from the label's Avant Les Débuts collection. The Resort 2025 collection, debuted in June 2024 through a lookbook, was our first real look at Michele's Valentino (and the social media fashion girlies had their thoughts).

The resort collection consisted of 171 looks where signature house codes are born anew through Michele's fun and nostalgic lens. It certainly makes sense in Valentino's Chinese New Year campaign.

The Valentino visuals center around relationships and energy of the holiday season, set against a backdrop of luxurious rooms bathed in red, a symbolic color of the Chinese New Year. More importantly, it's old traditions meet new beginnings, almost like the current state of Valentino with its new creative director, Michele.

There's excitement for what's coming in Valentino's future as Michele continues to infuse his spirited vision into Valentino's most classic design codes. When the former Gucci creative director stepped into his role at Valentino, it signaled a rebirth of 70s fashion and, most notably, a refreshingly new era of Valentino.
