Zendaya is one of those celebrities with a distinctive style. It may well be down to her collaborating with Law Roach (alleged fallout notwithstanding). She seems to have more than a little proclivity toward bustier tops, whether incorporated in full length dresses, as part of a dress ensemble or, as a statement top to go over unfussy trousers.

We're cottoning onto a pattern here, and we'd like to offer our readers an insight into the divine proportions that Zendaya offers us, time after time. We've noticed her opt for this aesthetic at two separate Emmy Award celebrations, and who can blame her? She is a vision.

SAG Awards 2023

At the SAG Awards this February, she shone in a handcrafted, corseted delight created by the designers over at Pier Piccioli. Zendaya always comes out smelling like roses. Or as the case may be, adorned by them.

Most recently, she has stepped out in the label that could well be credited with inventing the modern-day corset look - none other than rock-rebel meets haute couture innovator, Vivienne Westwood. Designed by Andreas Kronthaler, this look is serving up bustier at its best. The feminine form is accentuated through an exaggerated hip, waistline and shoulders.

A Renaissance look for a true Renaissance woman. We couldn't imagine a more perfect fit for the actress, and we are starting to see why Law Roach and Z make such a formidable pair - they inspire one another to do and be better, and it shows. Creative inspiration is not an exact science, rather a connective tissue between the muses, the people and the creations that they deliver.
