Moncler and OFF-WHITE have unveiled their first-ever collaboration, a fall/winter collection inspired by the fishermen of the Northern Sea.
The heavy duty “O” assortment offers up a range of outerwear including long jackets and puffer coats with both fixed and detachable hoods, waistcoats that look like lifejackets, and long and short parkas that are left unlined with stitching reduced to the bare minimum. There are also anoraks with multiple pockets that have been reworked to look like classic waxed sailing jackets, available either unlined for breathability or padded for protection in sub-zero temperatures.
Elsewhere, oversize trousers with elasticized waistbands and drawstrings are made of MAC, a double waterproof cotton inspired by Britain’s 19th-century Royal Navy uniforms.
Many of the materials used across the collection are rubberized and incorporate prints featuring stormy skies and diagonal stripes, a footprint of OFF-WHITE founder Virgil Abloh and his fondness for recurring motifs.
The “O” collection will be available to purchase in August 2016.
Abloh and his brand are also set for a sneaker collab with British label Umbro; here’s your first look.
