Originally founded in 2005, FDMTL was born to create denim with unique fits and washes typically unavailable to the denim market. Since then, FDMTL’s denim designs have been used generously on various projects, including collaborations with Danner, Vans, New Era, Chup and Masterpiece.

Now, over a decade later, we’re getting a glimpse inside the mind of FDMTL’s creator, Gaku Tsuyoshi, for a detailed review of his process. Headed by Vancouver-based Ryan Lindow, the interview finds Tsuyoshi discussing his roots in denim, love for boro fabric, and recent creative collaborations.
