Alexandra Pauly is a writer and editor with over four years of experience telling stories about beauty, style, and youth culture. She was appointed Beauty Editor after launching Highsnobiety's beauty vertical, its very first foray into the category, in 2022.

Digging into beauty and its intersection with culture, identity, and politics, her reporting challenges readers to think critically about the industry and their own relationship to it. A longtime fragrance enthusiast, she is also passionate about writing about scent. In 2023, she spearheaded Highsnobiety's State of Fragrance, a whitepaper on consumers' relationship to perfume and their buying habits.

Outside of work, you can find her scouring Chinatown for the best egg tart, contemplating the next addition to her collection of 50-plus perfumes, and taking way too many photos of her dog.
